Breakfast

Breakfast portion of
Patient Menu
They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. While I don't agree about that, I agree that it sets the mood of the day. Having a good breakfast would definitely help you feel better.

Breakfast is served from 0730 to 0930, and in my experience, they arrive before 0800. My personal preference is to sit up well before then, have your teeth brushed, so you can enjoy the meal.  PLEASE have your care team help you with that.

NOTE: Sometimes nutritional / diet department have "specials" for a certain meal that's NOT on the menu, such as "french toast". The only way you'll find out about the special is when you order your next day's meals.

Breakfast here consists of 6 elements, any of which can be skipped or doubled (or even trippled) subject to any dietary restrictions, plus a beverage if you want one. So technically, SEVEN (7) elements:

Hot and Cold Cereals

Breakfast Entrees

Yogurt(s)

Bread Basket

Sides

Fruits

Beverages

Welcome

Welcome to Picky Patient's Guide to Sutter Health Patient Menu!  Click on "Start Here" in the menu bar if you are not sure where to go.  As a former patient, I took some photos, and decided to rate the individual items.  This is meant to be a totally un-serious look at "hospital food", and no infringement or disparagement was intended. I understand it's difficult to make meals for hundreds, if not thousands of people at a time. And the ratings are a bit of... tongue-in-cheek. Any way, on with the guide.
